What happens when my agent or insurance company is recommending to me their “preferred” company for a auto glass replacement?

You need to remember that by law you have every right (by AZ law) to select any auto glass repair shop that you desire. Many times, the agent or insurer has a “financial affiliation” with their “preferred” repair facility and it is them whom receive the benefits in the form of kickbacks, gift cards, lunches and discounts, and not you. We on the other hand, honor and  accept all insurance rates, honor all contract pricing, do not up-charge, provide free chip repairs, come to you and offer a  nationwide lifetime warranty. In addition, we are also a preferred auto glass shop that your insurance company will verify. The difference here is YOU, YOU get all the benefits and up to $150 CASH on the SPOT! This is a WIN-WIN situation for you!

What happens when there is a deductible on my insurance policy?

First you need to make sure that the representative of the insurance company is not confusing your comprehensive deductible with your glass endorsement or glass waiver deductible. Often times, unfamiliar out of state insurance representatives will look at your policy and tell you your comprehensive deductible without knowing that you have the auto glass endorsement with a $0 deductible on your policy. So, be sure that you are real clear to your representative that you want to know if you carry AUTO GLASS REPLACEMENT COVERAGE and not your comp/coll coverage. Most Arizona comprehensive policies carry an auto glass waiver or endorsement because of the low cost premium.

When you have a deductible which is as high as $250 then the cost of glass could be lower. In such a case you might want to get an auto glass replacement price for comparison. If your cost is going to be less than the deductible, then it advisable that you do not make a claim. This also helps in “saving” a claim from appearing on your policy.

If your deductible is up to $150 we can waive it for you in lieu of our up to $150 cash back offer.

No, they cannot force you, but they will prefer you repair as the repairing will save time and money and also keep the original seal of the factory intact. When the size of the repair of the windshield is less than a dollar bill, it is strongly recommended by the insurance company to have it repaired and not replaced.

^

Will my insurer want to make an inspection of the damage before you replace my car windshield?

Some of the insurance companies do want to, and a few of them require an inspection done randomly before they authorize the shop to go ahead with their work. Such companies include Geico, USAA and American Family. If your inspection is randomly chosen then the company sends an insurance inspector/adjuster to verify the location and extent of the damage to the glass. Once the verification is complete we are authorized to proceed with the work. The only problem is that this could delay the installation or repair of your glass.
